The people are very helpful and hearts towards God, they do everything in their power to get you back on track, just give them a chance and life will pull back together. “”God bless John 3:16!””….
I was filmed in the bathroom by another guest that decided he was going to be a security enforcer. He showed his footage(taken while I was on the toilet, in a stall without my knowledge or consent) to supervisor on duty. I was told I had to leave, middle of the night with freezing advisory while the man who took the illegal video violated my human rights and committed a sex crime, federal crime, and a felony is still there. They even protected him from criminal action when I asked POLICE to help me in having the man delete the video footage. They have not told me how long I am suspended even though it has been 2weeeks. And have not responded to my request for reviewSubmitteda week ago. It is so full at any other shelters and there are so few resources or I would not even try to stay there.
They do a lot of great things for people that are down on their luck.
Be sure to donate anything you may not need anymore to them!
I have read the reviews and I’ve giving to John 3:16 several times and I felt like this was a good place until I have called twice went online sent a message and no one ever responded back to me, my son was ready to get help I felt like after reading how this place helped them that that would do the same for my son, he had hit rock bottom but after no response I’m really disappointed because no one seemed to care enough when finally he reached out.
Anyway I’ve been trying to find my son whose out on the streets and it cold but haven’t had any luck! So I’m not giving a good review because of no response!
I came to John 3:16 in September of 2022 and I have been there every since and going to stay until September of 2023 My life has gotten better since I have been there, I used to be skeptical about going to chapel everyday but now I realize how much I need to be around GOD'S children because it's helping me to overcome many things that I had not overcome before, but the first 4 & half Months I couldn't work and had to have a Doctors excuse to return to work and I finally did on Jan. 02/2023 The staff and Pastors have been very helpful and encouraging, Pastor Ron, Pastor Ryan and all the GOD Loving staff Cole and Joe, Joes have been reasonable employees as well as the rest of them I'm so looking to returning to a place that want let me forget where I came from, I am forever grateful, GOD bless all the wonderful speakers and musicians, and don't forget the Praise Worshiping teams that have blessed all, John 3:16 will always be a great part of my life, GOD bless you and your families, Your Minster in the Gospel, Bro. So my experience with John 3:16 homeless shelter was for the most part a positive one. What I want to say about John 3:16 and the people working there is this, they are truly trying to be the hands and feet of Jesus. What I didn't tell the staff there at John 3:16 was that I am a visiting Pastor,
And the reason I didn't tell them I was a visiting Pastor was because I wanted to see the process for myself. I believe they truly have the heart of Christ. As for my opinion I would say that this is a good Christian, well ran shelter. And it's my heartfelt prayer that they receive the donations and support necessary to stay functioning for as long as the city needs it to function.
God bless all of the staff at John 3:16 and God bless all of the souls that find shelter there. I pray that everyone that enters into John 3:16 chapel feels the presence of Christ. In Jesus name Amen.
The way I understand it, once you check in your not allowed to go outside for any reason. Personally I am a smoker and I have things in the back of my truck that I check on periodically to make sure their not stolen. I'm sure for someone who doesn't smoke or have need to outside for a minute this is an ideal setting. Not for someone like me who would feel like i was trapped inside a building.
I love the Mission. I love what they do. It's not just about the homeless, it's about the people in our community. They help families, kids, men and women with a whole list of things. If you are looking for an organization that walks the walk, John 3:16 Mission is it. I highly recommend.
